Apparently the definition of a port city is one where histories and cultures collide. As far as Canadian trio Port Cities are concerned, the mixing of three solo abilities has created a group dynamic that screams Tango In The Night-era Fleetwood Mac. Nova Scotians Carleton Stone, Dylan Guthro and Breagh MacKinnon work so well together, it’s unsurprising they’ve been picking up awards galore in their native country. Yet MacKinnon’s roots are in Jazz, Guthro’s R&B, and Stone’s direction is more acoustic folk. But sample songs like On The Nights You Stay Home, Don’t Stay You Love Me, and Half The Way, and you’ll swear they’ve been together for years.
