The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences(CARAS) and Slaight Music today announced the winners of this year’s Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class: Haviah Mighty, Port Cities, and smrtdeath. The winners, selected by a “super jury” of music industry leaders, will receive support from Canada’s premier artist development program allowing them to transform their careers with crucial tools and invaluable experiences.

2018/2019 Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class winners:

smrtdeath – Winnipeg, Man. (@sloppymakeout)

For the first time, this year’s winners will be joined by the 2018 winner of the CBC Music Searchlight competition, Aquakultre (@aquakultre).

Port Cities supported Matt Andersen for a few dates in Germany the other week…sadly he didn’t make it to Berlin this time but Port Cities added some more dates for themselves after that tour. I got the pretty spontaneous opportunity to see them live at Privatclub, Berlin. I’m very glad when a promoter thinks of my when my own head is too full of other stuff.
